Remember album art? This was some of my favorite. These guys are my cousins.
Wow, Peter! I knew some of these covers and of course the genre. Had no idea of the family connection. Very cool!
What a coincidence! I’m making CD’s from a friend’s LP’s, and one of them lists art direction by Peter Whorf. I wondered if there was a connection, and now here’s your blog post. My friend’s album is ‘Selections from Der Ring des Niebelungen’, mentioned in the link you provide. It actually relates to the music, but I doubt you’ll see Rhinemaidens like that in any production of the Ring.
Peter Whorf may be your cousin but he was our mentor and an amazing artist and man.Plus he was an great fun guy. His work should be recognized as pivotal in the music world and beyond.
