For a performance, musicians prepare much more than just music. Everything has to be in order from what you play to what you wear. In her New York Times article “How Soloists Select Styles for the Stage”, Lucy Kraus says, “Artists must weigh the nuances of the concert itself: the size and color of the hall, what other performers are wearing, the time of day, sometimes the color of one’s instrument, the nature of the instrument and, finally, the music itself.”

As if that’s not enough for musicians to consider, now you can add another accessory to your concert attire: jewelry for your instrument.

Luxitune was founded by in 2012 by Metropolitan Opera violinist Katherine Fong and jewelry designer HyeJun Park. Fong wanted to find a way to combine her two greatest passions, fashion and music. Park’s experience in art and fashion helped create dazzling jewels fitted for violin, viola, and cello that are said to “bring style to your Strad, glam to your Guad, or zing to your Zygmuntovich.”

But these beautiful baubles aren’t just for show: they’re fully functioning fine tuners. All are easily customizable and are made with Swarovski crystals and other precious metals. Fong’s personal favorite is the original Pavé ball, but there are many styles to choose from. Check out some of them below.

  1. The Pavé Ball is a simple design (simple compared to some of Luxitune’s other string bling, at least!) featuring crystals set in 14k gold. It comes in three colors.

  2. Love playing Romantic string music? The Pavé Rose is the perfect fine tuner to add a little romance to your music making.

  3. Make no bones about it, the Pavé Skull is perfect for any diehard musician.

  4. The Solitaire fine tuner adds simple yet understated elegance for those who need a little bling for their strings, but don’t want to get too tricked out.

  5. Sharing music with others is always a gift. Why not put a bow on your instrument?
