From its home at Lincoln Center, the Chicago-built Lyon & Healy harp has been delivered. Audio engineer Eric Arunas is rolling out the cables. On Tuesday afternoon the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performs a live, in-studio recital on WFMT’s airwaves.
The Chamber Music Society has long been one of the finest collections of chamber players in North America. Through their radio series, they’ve been part of WFMT for years, and are in Chicago to resume their residency at the Harris Theater (newly re-opened after the electrical fire of February 19). The CMSLC program taps into the lush sonorities of the French chamber repertoire which makes exquisite use of the harp with flute and strings.
The CMLSC players will be live on WFMT for music and conversation on Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center gives their concert at the Harris Theater in downtown Chicago on Tuesday evening at 7:30.
