One December tradition on WFMT has nothing to do with candles, carols or holidays: Beethoven’s birthday. Each year on December 16th, WFMT goes wall-to-wall Beethoven. There are images of the German composer that stick with us: the first four notes of the Fifth Symphony or the stern-faced Andy Warhols. He seems like such a dour customer, but was he?
