Shakespeare’s “problem play” Measure for Measure is staged infrequently, yet is almost eerily contemporary in its subject.  For the production on the Goodman Theatre main stage, Artistic Director Robert Falls finds placing the action in a declining, yet over-the-top 1970s Manhattan, a highly effective way to explore themes of political and moral hypocrisy, sexual license, and corruption.

On this week’s edition of Critical Thinking with Andrew Patner, Falls and Goodman resident sound designer Richard Woodbury discuss the production which runs through April 14.
