Make Music Chicago

Concertgoers lining up outside St. James Cathedral on Tuesday

One of the highlights of Tuesday’s inaugural music celebration “Make Music Chicago” was the World Premiere of Misha Zupko’s choral piece “God Has Gone Up.” The performance was given by Sophie Webber and Jeff Handley of Fulcrum Point, soprano Kelsey Williams, members of the St. James Cathedral Choir and members of New Classic Singers. Lee Kesselman conducted the ensemble with the composer at the piano.

The cathedral has long been the venue for the acclaimed Rush Hour Concerts – http://www.rushhour.org/- which begin again next Tue., June 28. The series was a presenter for Make Music Chicago and the cathedral a sponsor of it.
