Last night the Chicago Symphony Orchestra gave the inaugural performance at the brand new center for the performing arts at Benito Juarez Community Academy in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, which was officially opened earlier that day at a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mayor Daley and other city officials.
The free concert celebrating Mexico’s Bicentennial was led by Mexican Conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto, music director of the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico.
