Following the critical acclaim of their debut recording (Handel’s Alexander’s Feast), Ludus Baroque bring their celebrated verve to Handel’s Song for St Cecilia’s Day, his second setting of poetry by John Dryden. The Song is joined with two other pieces from the fruitful year of 1739: the cantata Look Down, Harmonious Saint and the Concerto Grosso in B-flat.
