Amidst the dramatic mountain landscape of Norway’s Lofoten Islands, pianist Nils Anders Mortensen has recorded a program of “out of doors” music — works by Debussy, Grieg and Bartók. After winning piano competitions both in Norway and abroad, Mortensen has settled in Alta in the far north of Norway, at the edge of the Arctic. The landscape there has inspired his new recording.
