The young Polish pianist Rafał Blechacz first rose to prominence with his win at the 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition. Since then, he has released three well-received albums, showcasing works by Chopin, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. His latest looks to another great Polish composer, Karol Szymanowski, and also Claude Debussy.
