Pierre Viallant has won and/or placed at several competitions including the MTNA Junior Competition, the Gail and Harry Adams Young Artists Concerto Competition, Arcadia Chamber Music Competition, 2009 Baroque Young Artists, DOCHA Chamber Music Competition and the IHSA Solo Competition where he was awarded “Best of Day”. He was also a finalist of the Delta Symphony Young Artists Concerto Competition and the Paducah Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition.
Pierre was a scholarship recipient of the Music Institute of Chicago’s Academy program for gifted pre-college musicians and the Meadowmount School of Music. Currently he studies privately with Hans Joergen Jensen and Brandon Vamos. Pierre is a member of the ECIYO Youth Orchestra and the Urbana Pops Orchestra, where he is assistant principal.
Pierre plays on a modern instrument made by Gary Garavaglia.
Pierre is in the 9th grade at Central High School in Champaign, Illinois. His hobbies are playing basketball and skateboarding.
