Rebroadcast from July, 2011
In the first half of today’s program, we featured 18 year old soprano Michelle Boggess of Mt. Prospect High School, who will be attending DePaul University in the fall. In the second half, we featured members of the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Chamber Music Institute, including their Sterling Brass Quintet and the Maud Powell String Quartet. Both ensembles are the most advanced of their kind in the institute. We ended with a waltz performed by the entire orchestra.
Tune in again Saturday, August 27th at 11AM when we feature the entire Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra in a separate program.
