What a fascinating look at a fascinating subject! Playing the recording of “Karlo” or “Carlo” (sp?) was the perfect ending with its eerie sounds that bring to mind screeching of rusty cemitary gates and wailing souls. WOW! This certainly makes me want to read Glenn Watkins’ book to learn more about Gesualdo. Was he a tortured soul or just a very far out composer? As always, your program is highly informative but more importantly, highly thought-provoking. Thank you!
